In light of their unprecedented success at the 2022 WGI World Championships, The Town of Avon honored Avon Bands and declared Monday, May 16, as Avon School Band Day in the Town of Avon.

Student Government Elections
The Avon DECA chapter recently competed against nine schools and over 400 students in the District Competition. Not only did Avon win the district again, 76 students advanced to the state competition in March.
A large crowd of VIPs gathered at the Indiana Statehouse on February 14 for Arts Advocacy Day, and the AHS Chamber Orchestra stole the show.

Students and staff at Avon High School received an unordinary interruption to their school day on Wednesday. A huge thunderstorm moved through the area at noon causing 25-year-old systems at AHS to become overwhelmed.

At the ACSC Back-To-School Celebration on July 27, we celebrated three notable Avon educators. Our annual “Baby Oriole Just Hatched” award goes to the person who was most recently hired, and we recognize the people who have the longest tenure in Avon Schools, our “Golden Oldie Orioles.”

AHS student Laniya Simon was chosen to be a special guest and presenter at a recent Project AWARE Mental Health Roundtable at the Indiana Statehouse.

The Avon High School Speech and Debate call-out meeting is Tuesday, August 24 at 7:30 am in the ALC Lecture Hall.
Reminder that all students driving to school need to complete a parking registration and display their tag in the vehicle. There is no charge this year for the tag.
