New School Year Info
Beginning of the Year information was sent to all AHS families on June 27. If you did not receive a ParentSquare email or text message, please email Carol Ayler to update your email address or phone number. This will help ensure you will receive all future communication from AHS. If you are having trouble logging into ParentSquare, please try using your phone number instead of your email.

Electronic Device Policy
We ARE Avon and we ARE putting away our electronic devices.
- We are ACCOUNTABLE for the learning objectives.
- We are RESPECTFUL of our peers and educators.
- We are ENGAGED with our teachers and classmates during classroom instruction.
A new law was passed by the Indiana Legislature that took effect July 1. Senate Bill 185 restricts students from using cellphones, tablets, laptops, and gaming devices during instructional time unless approved by a teacher for educational purposes. It is designed to address concerns about increasing distractions, cyberbullying, and safety risks that can be due to unrestricted cellphone use in schools. We have already limited cellphone use in our elementary, intermediate, and middle schools, so our high school students are the ones who are primarily affected by this change.
