AHS Hosts Huge Speech & Debate Tournament

Last weekend, Avon High School Speech and Debate team hosted one of the largest tournaments in Indiana, welcoming more than 600 students from 36 high schools across the state. The building was filled with an atmosphere of teamwork, learning, and friendly competition.

Although host schools do not officially place, Avon’s outstanding results would have earned first place in team sweepstakes. Outstanding individual winners for Avon High School are as follows:

This event would not have been possible without the 150 volunteers who served as judges, coaches, organizers, and support staff. The team extends a sincere thank you to every volunteer whose time and commitment helped make the tournament a success.
