AHS Juniors Experience Day of Caring

Junior Day of Caring is a tradition at Avon High School, stretching back nearly a decade. It is a day in which the entire junior class gets the valuable opportunity to learn about being empowered citizens, making a difference in the community in the process.

Last Thursday, AHS juniors spread out to nearly 30 locations in and around Avon-Washington Township. They visited locations like schools, the American Legion, AJAA, Hendricks County Senior Services, Fire Departments, Washington Township Park, and Sheltering Wings. While they were onsite, they did a ton of work: they opened milk cartons for kindergarten students, spread mulch, dusted baseboards, visited with senior adults, planted flowers, picked up trash, painted a mural, and so much more.

When everyone does a little, a lot can be accomplished. Thank you, AHS juniors for caring for your community!
