AHS Open House Draws a Crowd

AHS Open House Draws a Crowd

The Avon High School Open House, held on Wednesday, February 26, drew a crowd. Many community members, parents, and alumni came to explore. Many guests were Avon students in 8th grade and below who, along with their parents, were excited to see the school they'll get to attend one day!

AHS students were on hand to serve as tour guides and Principal Matt Shockley and Superintendent Dr. Scott Wyndham enjoyed mingling with guests and answering questions. The AHS Cafeteria staff served walking tacos — perfect for the long walk around the school — and, as always, the facilities crew was on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly.

Participants got to see the new Learning Commons and the surrounding classrooms, the Orchestra rehearsal room, the Fitness Classroom, the updated Cafeteria, and more.

The AHS Renovation and Expansion project is nearing completion. It's great to know so many in the community are sharing in the excitement!
