AHS Speech Team Wins 4th Consecutive Sectional

The Avon High School Speech Team won their 4th consecutive Speech Sectional Championship on Saturday, February 22.
Individual Sectional Champions were the following:
- Kennedy Berry for Informative Speaking
- AJ Sandullo for Impromptu Speaking
- Santiago Jimenez for International Extemp
- Janani Devendran for US Extemp
- Mercy Oluwole for Discussion
- Kate Lynam for Humorous Interpretation
- Mercy and Precious Olaniyan for Original Performance
- Ariana Stephens for Prose
- Doyin Akande for Program Oral Interpretation
- Salem Araya for Dramatic Interpretation
The team competes this Saturday at IU Columbus to qualify students for Nationals this summer. The State Finals competition is the following Saturday, March 1, at Fishers High School.
