AHS Teacher Weds During Eclipse, Appears in National Media

What were you doing during the total solar eclipse on April 8? Avon High School Teacher Lauren Patton had an experience she'll never forget. She and her fiancé Alex Bradshaw tied the knot. Retired AHS Teacher Suzy Lebo presided.

The event caught the attention of People.com, which ran a story last week.

The backyard ceremony began at 1:30 pm and concluded at 1:50. The wedding party remained, listened to music, celebrated, and mingled through the duration of the eclipse.

"It was incredible," said the bride in an email. "We both feel so fortunate to make that wild dream come true!"

Congratulations to the newly married couple! We're glad you enjoyed your once-in-a-lifetime event.
