An AHS Grad Comes Home

Six years after her AHS graduation, she's come home.

Alyssa Hartsock graduated from Avon High School in 2016. She's returned to serve as Dance Director.

Here's Alyssa:

I have found my way back home.

It was an easy choice picking AHS as the school where I wanted to pursue my teaching career. I was very involved in the Performing Arts in high school. I performed with the Dance Team, Fall Marching Band, Winter Color Guard, and participated in the school Musical. So, when I saw the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing performing arts staff who once inspired me and my journey, I jumped at the opportunity. Avon has always been a place where I’ve felt safe to explore my creativity and challenge myself.

I am so happy to be back at AHS, and hopefully, I can have as much of an impact on my students as my teachers had on me.
