Celebrating Orioles - September, 2025
At their September meeting, the Avon Board of School Trustees celebrated some outstanding Orioles.
AMS South Student Leaders
As the first several weeks of the 2025-26 school year passed, AMS South Principal Dr. Dan Peo and his team noticed some students who stood out for their leadership and positive attitudes. The Board was pleased to recognize them for their positive contributions to their school culture.
Grace Otey
This summer, AHS student Grace Otey received a Distinguished Hoosier Award for the charity she started. She started her charity, which benefits homeless veterans, when she was only eight years years old. This year, she has raised more than $30,000 by speaking at American Legion posts, churches, and to anybody who will listen.
