Avon Optimist Oratorical Winners
The Avon Optimist Club held their annual oratorical competition this year, and two Avon High School students fared very well.
Rion Bolden won the local competition and Sukhleen Dhami placed second. Both advanced to the South District Optimist Oratorical Finals.
Senior Sukhleen Dhami delivered a presentation entitled, "Discovering the Optimism within Me," at the Indiana South District Optimist Oratorical Finals. Her speech earned first place, a $2,500 scholarship, and eligibility to compete in an upcoming regional competition in St. Louis.
