Varsity Dance Team Brings Home State Championship

The Avon High School Varsity Dance Team ended Lake Central’s 30-year winning streak and brought home the 2025 AAA Varsity State Championship from the IHSDTA State Finals! This event has historically been won by Lake Central — they've won for the past 30 years — so this was a major win for the Avon Dance Team. Varsity also placed 4th with their AAA Jazz routine.
This win came from hard work, tears, but more importantly love and dedication from all team members and coaching staff. This is a historic win for the Avon Dance Team program. Alyssa Hartsock
JV was State Runner Up in Pom and placed 3rd in the Hip Hop category. Middle School placed 5th with their JHAAA Jazz.
The season isn't finished. We have solo and ensemble State competitions on Saturday, March 8, and we are hoping our Large Ensemble can bring home its 5th consecutive State Championship title.
We are so proud to represent Avon and bring another State title to this school corporation.
