The Avon High School choral program has over 270 students enrolled in eight choirs. Our choirs are consistent state finalists, and are in much demand at many community events.
The program was founded by Dean Westman in 2007 with 35 beginning orchestra students. The orchestra program now involves over 600 orchestra students in grades 6-12 with five full-time orchestra directors. The program provides positively-life changing experiences for its members and aims to use music as a vehicle to positively empower students.
The AHS Theatre program—Avon Thespians Troupe #8320—is an officially chartered troupe through Indiana Thespians. By working in the theatre, you can apply to be inducted as an official Thespian.

"Once again, our community has received the Best Communities for Music Education award. It is one of those things we seem to win every year. But, it's because of [our] students. It's because we have principals and teachers who support the arts. This is a community celebration. It is celebrating that this entire community equals excellence in music education."
